Gravel Train Mechanic
About the role
Inspect, repair, install and service Gravel Trains, stationary and mobile equipment. Perform diesel and gasoline engine repair and maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Cut, weld and fabricate metal. Diagnose and correct recurring problems. Read basic schematics and parts diagrams. Operate heavy equipment for maintenance. Clean and lubricate parts. Order replacement parts. Inspect completed repairs. Requisition new parts and equipment. Troubleshoot electrical and ABS systems on tractors and multi-trailer setups. Handle major component replacements (engines, clutches, differentials). Conduct difficult breakdown diagnostics to minimize downtime.

Requirements
Basic mechanical aptitude, including reading and understanding schematics and parts diagrams. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Basic welding and metal fabrication knowledge. Experience with diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
Skills

Pay
