Bio solid gravel train driver (Flint)

DHT Group is hiring an experienced Gravel Train Driver for a specialized operation based in the Flint, Michigan area. This position supports area wastewater treatment facilities, transporting biosolids from treatment plants to area landfills. The selected driver will park the truck locally in the Flint area.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate gravel train equipment in accordance with company, state and federal requirements
• Transport biosolids from wastewater treatment facilities to area landfills
• Inspect truck and trailers to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in proper working order
• Verify delivery instructions, routes and load documentation
• Inspect and secure loads as required
• Maintain required driver logs and vehicle documentation
• Safely maneuver equipment into loading and unloading positions
• Operate through weigh stations and comply with applicable weight regulations
• Couple and uncouple trailers and properly connect air and electrical lines
• Inspect trailers following unloading
• Clean trailers as necessary
• Report equipment defects, accidents, violations or damage according to company procedures
• Complete delivery documentation accurately

Requirements

• Licensed CDL Class A Driver
• Acceptable MVR
• T Endorsement (Doubles Endorsement)
• 3-6 months of verifiable Gravel train driving experience
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined
• Landfill experience

Pay

$25.00 per hour
$1,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants
