Gravel Pit Field Mechanic

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and repair of yellow iron equipment such as loaders, track hoes, dozers, skid steers, etc., ability to replace pumps, hoses, engine components, wear parts as assigned.
• Repair and maintenance of screening and crushing equipment and processing plants.
• Travel to pits located in Utah, Tooele and Salt Lake Counties to perform repairs

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in terms of maintenance and repair of yellow iron equipment
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and diesel engine troubleshooting, preferred
• Understands and can troubleshoot 12 & 24 volt electrical systems
• Welding and torching experience preferred
• Must be able to pass drug screen
• Motivated and reliable
