Essential Functions Of The Job

  • Travel is required, 4 weeks out then 1 week at home.
  • Hauling railroad ties, scrap metal, scrap wood, and equipment.
  • Physically able to secure loads: strapping, tarping and torquing.
  • Able to work long hours, overtime, and possible weekends in all weather conditions.
  • Filling out daily paperwork and working independently.
  • Ability to use a smart phone, GPS, and Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot problems on equipment.

Qualifications

  • Class A and/or B CDL required.
  • Friendly approach when working with customers.
  • Good communication with dispatchers and office employees, written and verbal.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Completely and accurately fill out daily paperwork.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to make small repairs (change hydraulic hose, grease and lube, safety walk around inspection).
  • Follow all Safety Program, Policies and Procedures.
