Essential Functions Of The Job
- Travel is required, 4 weeks out then 1 week at home.
- Hauling railroad ties, scrap metal, scrap wood, and equipment.
- Physically able to secure loads: strapping, tarping and torquing.
- Able to work long hours, overtime, and possible weekends in all weather conditions.
- Filling out daily paperwork and working independently.
- Ability to use a smart phone, GPS, and Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot problems on equipment.
Qualifications
- Class A and/or B CDL required.
- Friendly approach when working with customers.
- Good communication with dispatchers and office employees, written and verbal.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Completely and accurately fill out daily paperwork.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to make small repairs (change hydraulic hose, grease and lube, safety walk around inspection).
- Follow all Safety Program, Policies and Procedures.
