About the Role
MS NOW is seeking a Graphics Production Assistant for The Weeknight. This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.
Responsibilities
- Order and coordinate all graphic elements for air
- Oversee the airing of all graphic elements in control room during live program
- Work closely with producers to research, select, and locate required footage for broadcast
- Assist in compiling research for anchor and producers
- Fact check scripts
- Work on content for digital platforms, social media, and MS NOW’s DTC products
Requirements
- At least one year of news production experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including breaking news, under tight deadline pressure
Desired Characteristics
- Excellent knowledge of politics, history, and current events
- Ability to work under deadline pressure
- Knowledge of Avid, MediaCentral, Viz, and iNews preferred

Pay
Salary Range: $30.00/hour - $32.00/hour
