Graphics Designer
About the role
Join our Midwest Creative Services team as a Graphic Designer, where you'll bring ideas to life through compelling visual storytelling across print and digital platforms. You'll create engaging marketing materials that help businesses grow and support Hearst's award-winning brands, collaborating with various teams to balance creativity with strategy.
Responsibilities
- Design high-quality print and digital marketing materials, including advertisements, brochures, direct mail, presentations, signage, social media graphics, and promotional campaigns.
- Create production-ready files that meet print and digital specifications.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Production, Editorial, and other internal teams to develop creative solutions that achieve business goals.
- Work directly with internal stakeholders—and occasionally clients—to understand project objectives and deliver exceptional creative work.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining outstanding attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Contribute ideas that improve creative quality, workflows, and team collaboration.
Requirements
- Experience designing for both print and digital media.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
- A solid understanding of typography, layout, branding, color theory, and print production.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional work.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience creating engaging visual content across multiple platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
- A desire to continuously learn, grow, and contribute to an innovative creative team.
Skills
