Graphic Production Artist - 1st Shift

About the role

The ESKO Graphic Production Artist is responsible for preparing, optimizing, and managing electronic files for flexographic and digital printing environments using advanced ESKO software and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review, trap, and manipulate customer artwork to meet flexographic and digital printing standards.
• Implement G7 colorimetric methodologies to ensure color accuracy and consistency.
• Adjust tone reproduction curves and calibrate proofing devices for precise print matching.
• Conduct spectrophotometer checks for color verification and media linearization.
• Build layouts using automated tools, ensuring quality control and project accuracy.
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding project status and file integrity.
• Occasionally inspect and handle flexo plates and contract proofs.

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in color separation, flexographic, or digital packaging printing.
• Proficiency with ESKO software suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong knowledge of ICC profiling, delta-E tolerances, and spectrophotometry.
• Ability to identify artwork issues and ensure print readiness.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of following safety protocols and working under high-pressure conditions.

Additional Requirements

• Must adhere to GMPs, demonstrate good color discernment, and possess strong technical and safety awareness.
• Certification in G7 or experience with press fingerprinting is preferred.
