1st Shift Production Team Member

About the role

As a member of the production team, you will be responsible for assuring safety standards are always followed and assuring that quality standards are always met at our Tuscaloosa, Alabama plant.

Responsibilities

• Work according to established procedures and policies through teamwork.
• Adhere to standard work instructions (SWI).
• Contribute fully to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to 5S and “World Class Housekeeping” standards.
• Achieve operator certification according to the plant certification process.
• Participate in team meetings and understand performance goals and objectives.
• Help achieve team performance goals and objectives.
• Follow ISO14001/TS16949 documentation including, but not limited to, SWIs, forms, work instructions, and procedures.
• Actively participate in a self-directed work team model.
• Follow company rules and policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in plant recycling programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Physical ability to:
  • Lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Read and see details at close range.
  • Infrequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, and grasp.
  • Make fast, simple repetitive movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Operate pneumatic tools.

Skills

Experience in the automotive industry is a bonus.
