About the role
Outcome School is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit workforce platform that equips underserved youth with practical, technology-driven skills that lead to employment and long-term economic mobility. Through free, cohort-based training, mentorship, hands-on projects, and career readiness support, Outcome School helps young people move from Learn → Build → Intern → Job.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original graphics for Outcome School merchandise and promotional items
- Create visual concepts that align with Outcome School’s mission, culture, and audience
- Develop designs for apparel and branded products, including T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, hats, bottles, bags, mugs, and related items
- Prepare clean, production-ready design files for printing or vendor use
- Collaborate with Outcome School leadership or team members on design direction and feedback
- Help ensure visual consistency across branded merchandise
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience in graphic design, apparel design, merchandise design, or brand design
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or similar platforms
- Strong sense of typography, color, layout, and branding
- Ability to translate ideas into visually appealing designs
- Comfortable receiving feedback and revising concepts when needed
- Passion for youth empowerment, education, workforce development, or mission-driven work
Nice to Have
- Experience designing for nonprofit organizations, schools, or community initiatives
- Experience preparing files for screen printing, embroidery, or merchandise production
- Illustration or streetwear-inspired design sensibility
