Graphic Designer - East/North East U.S.
About the role
Jacobs is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our Buildings & Infrastructure Americas team. You will focus on the design and development of proposals and supporting graphics, presentations, and positioning materials.
Responsibilities
- Leads strategic graphic design solutions to support the production of winning proposals, sales materials, and presentations.
- Conceptualizes and designs compelling and impactful graphics while collaborating with proposal team members and technical staff to strengthen messaging and successfully sell Jacobs.
- Interprets and converts technical data and conceptual content into more accessible and visually appealing information.
- Shares technical expertise with others and provides guidance and support to other team members in technical areas.
- Collaborates with team members in remote locations, and across different time zones.
Requirements
- 6-8 years professional graphic design experience.
- Advanced knowledge of procedures and technical concepts required for role, including design aptitude to understand what constitutes good design, and a demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge using layout, typography, graphics, and images in order to produce highly effective visual communications.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours as needed to align with peers within North America.
- Ability to work occasional overtime hours or on weekends as needed, especially for deadline-driven assignments.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline from an accredited College/University.
- Prior Architectural/Engineering & Construction and/or Proposal and Sales experience.
- Exceptional skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint; proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience working with additional creative, visual, interactive, and multimedia tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of ArcGIS plug-in for Illustrator, SketchUp, Streetmix, and Interactive PDFs.
- Illustration and hand sketching experience.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in software trends; acts as a resource for graphic design methods and tools, developing and implementing process improvements, tool(s) improvements, and best practices.
- Collaborate and provide production and vendor support for submittals and interviews to instruct external vendors as needed on printing requirements.
- Support and contribute to improvements in processes, productivity, and efficiency for our Creative Solutions team.
- Proof work to ensure quality control.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $66,000.00 to $80,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Employees have flexibility to adjust their working hours as needed to align with peers within North America. They may also work occasional overtime hours or on weekends as needed, especially for deadline-driven assignments.
