About the role

Conceptualizing and developing visual concepts, such as logos, illustrations, and layouts, to inspire, inform, or engage audiences.

Responsibilities

• Using design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to produce graphics for print, digital, web, ads, branding, and marketing materials.
• Collaborating with clients, teams, or stakeholders to understand project briefs, gather requirements, and incorporate feedback into revisions.
• Selecting appropriate typography, colors, images, and layouts to ensure designs align with brand identity and target audience needs.
• Preparing rough drafts, presenting ideas, and finalizing designs for production, including ensuring compatibility for different formats (e.g., web vs. print).
• Managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and staying updated on design trends and tools.

Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, fine arts, or a related field; some positions accept associate degrees or equivalent certifications.
• Experience: 1-3+ years in graphic design, often in a professional setting like a creative agency, marketing firm, or in-house team; entry-level roles may require internships or freelance work.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma); knowledge of web design tools, typography, color theory, and digital/print production.
• Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating creative work, problem-solving, and versatility across projects.
• Soft Skills: Excellent creativity, attention to detail, communication, time management, and ability to handle feedback and collaborate effectively.
• Additional Assets: Familiarity with UX/UI principles, motion graphics (e.g., After Effects), or industry-specific knowledge; certifications like Adobe Certified Professional can be advantageous.
