About the role
We are seeking a versatile Graphic Designer to join our client’s creative efforts in the consumer packaged goods industry, bridging the gap between traditional print design and digital UI experiences. This role allows you to work across diverse visual collateral while collaborating with UX designers and software engineers on digital products and design systems. Ability to travel onsite to Cincinnati, OH is required.
Responsibilities
- Create layouts and visual designs for packaging, advertising, marketing collateral, print publications, and digital channels.
- Select artwork, produce illustrations, establish color palettes, and contribute to overall creative concepts, including conducting press checks when necessary.
- Ensure quality and consistency across UI design deliverables, including mockups, clickable prototypes, design systems, assets for development handoff, and simple animations.
- Interpret and translate brand guidelines into cohesive digital UI components.
- Conduct mid-level UI research, such as competitive analyses, A/B testing, and accessibility checks.
- Collaborate closely with UX Product Designers to transition wireframes into visual designs, and partner with software engineers to facilitate asset handoffs and live code UI reviews.
- Participate in team process initiatives, stakeholder communications, and the refinement of UI design best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in graphic design across both print and digital media formats.
- Proficiency in standard graphic design tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Intermediate skills in UI design, UI research principles, and design system maintenance.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and brand execution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with writers, UX designers, art directors, and software developers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, pay strong attention to detail, and deliver quality assets within established deadlines.
