Graphic Design & Marketing Internship

Safran Defense & Space Inc. (Safran DSI), headquartered in Arlington, Va., is a leading U.S. aerospace company dedicated to supporting national defense and space missions. Safran DSI Optronics (formerly Optics 1), headquartered in Bedford, NH, is a global leader in full‑service design and production of electro‑optic and navigation systems, providing mission solutions for military and law enforcement personnel. The Graphic Design/Marketing Intern will collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing Strategy and the Brand Design Specialist to enhance brand awareness and contribute to business development efforts, supporting internal projects and global initiatives aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit compelling content for social media, newsletters, and advertising
• Support the Marking & Communications department with projects and objectives
• Design tradeshow assets and miscellaneous marketing collateral
• Internal and external graphic design and video production
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, media studies, graphic design, management, or business
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident

Qualifications

• Experience working in an ITAR environment (preferred)

Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro) and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and editing skills
• Understanding of social media platforms
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience in an office setting
• Ability to function professionally in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience with photography and/or videography
