Responsibilities
- Design compelling and accessible visual content that supports Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
- Create print and digital products and materials as directed by Director of Creative Services and Project Manager, including but not limited to: brochures, postcards, invitations, reports, digital signage, social media assets, infographics, presentations, proposals, and posters.
- Execute art direction as provided by Director and Lead Graphic Designers.
- Iterate designs based on feedback from clients and colleagues.
- Ensure materials reflect appropriate brand identity.
- Act as responsible party for assigned jobs, ensuring timely delivery of final product.
- Manage multiple time-sensitive assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and production requirements.
- Professionally and collegially work and communicate with clients and colleagues.
- Prepare final files for both digital and print production.
- Coordinate effectively with print vendors to execute final deliverables.
- Accurately and effectively track time in timekeeping system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field with at least 2 years experience as a graphic designer with print and digital design experience; appropriate combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of graphic design fundamentals and awareness of current trends in graphic design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work on Mac platform.
- Familiarity with Canva and Dropbox.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Highly collaborative and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
Schedule
This is a part-time position requiring 15 hours per week, typically worked in 7.5-hour shifts. Candidates must be available to meet this scheduling requirement.
Pay
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this position are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract.
- Hiring Rate: $37.80 per hour
- Post Probationary Rate: $38.33 per hour
- Job Rate: $39.93 per hour
Minimum Salary Range: USD $37.80/Hr.
Maximum Salary Range: USD $37.80/Hr.
