Responsibilities
- Research, write, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports
- Manage the full grant lifecycle: prospecting, proposal development, budgeting, submission, and post-award reporting
- Maintain the grant calendar, pipeline, and compliance tracking
- Build and maintain relationships with foundation and grantor program officers
- Track outcomes and metrics needed to fulfill grant reporting requirements
- Identify and pursue new grant and funding opportunities
- Coordinate major donor cultivation strategy
- Aid in donor stewardship, including follow-ups and thank-you outreach
- Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM/database
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of content for marketing and communications efforts
- Support email and social media marketing campaigns (newsletters, appeals, updates)
- Aid in the development and coordination of direct mailings, including appeals, newsletters, postcards and other direct mail pieces
- Help maintain consistent messaging and brand voice across platforms
- Support fundraising events and annual giving campaigns as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in grant writing, nonprofit development, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong writing and research skills; grant writing experience preferred
- High interest in or existing skills in marketing (social media, email marketing, direct mail); a strong desire to grow into this area long-term is a significant plus
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines, especially grant deadlines
- Experience with CRM systems and email marketing tools a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- $45,000 – $55,000 annually, DOE
- Accrual-Based Paid Time Off (PTO), 10 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday
- $3,000 annual stipend in lieu of health coverage
- Up to 3% Employer-matching retirement plan (Simple IRA) after 90-day probationary period
- Monthly cell phone allowance
- Flexible work schedule, including the ability to work remotely up to 1 day per week
