About the role

The Grants & Contracts Associate (Pre-Award) supports the pre-award administration of externally funded grants and contracts. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance to faculty and staff in all administrative aspects of pre-award functions, identifying funding sources, preparing and submitting compliant grant and contract proposals, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. The role involves collaboration with investigators, departments, sponsored projects staff, funding agency representatives, external consultants, and other entities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-award administration of externally funded grants and contracts.
  • Provide technical assistance to faculty and staff in proposal preparation and submission.
  • Identify funding sources and assist in the development of grant and contract proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with funding agency requirements and university policies.
  • Collaborate with investigators, departments, sponsored projects staff, and external entities.
  • Submit compliant grant and contract proposals in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field. Degree must be conferred from a regionally accredited institution (or equivalent international accreditation).
  • One year of professional-level sponsored program experience.
  • Verifiable experience with complex electronic databases and systems.
  • Pre-graduation applicants may apply, but the degree must be conferred by the time of appointment.

Pay

Monthly wage: $4,311–$4,742 (anticipated starting salary of $4,311).
