About the role

This position works with a team on the implementation and monitoring of grant programs. The role involves tracking grant awards and monitoring monthly project cash flow to ensure financial schedules are met. The position is responsible for reviewing monthly reimbursement reports for accuracy before final submission to the fiscal section for payment.

Responsibilities

• Monitors grant awards to determine compliance with Federal and State financial and program guidelines and to assess progress toward stated goals, objectives, and daily activities.
• Submits financial reports to be reviewed by the grants management director, including funding utilization reports, subrecipients monthly reporting, and quarterly site visit reports.
• Communicates clearly and concisely, both in writing and orally.
• Works effectively both within a team and independently.

The Governor's Crime Commission manages Federal grants and State funds for criminal justice and juvenile justice programs, including Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Victims of Crime Act, Violence Against Women Act, Children's Justice Act, Paul Coverdell, Byrne Justice Assistance Grants, and legislative funding to address specific issues. The Section supports the Commission in planning funding priorities, ensuring efficient fund management, and ensuring subgrantee compliance with Federal and State regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• Working knowledge of federal and/or state grant management.
• Working knowledge of financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of grant program monitoring.

Pay

Recruitment Range: $43,267.00 - $57,680.00

Schedule

• Full-time, time-limited position (40 hours per week) with the potential to extend up to 36 months.
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.
• Part-time teleworking available as part of the State Telework Program.
