Key Responsibilities
- Check receipts and invoices for allowable expenses.
- Meet with contractors and grantees to clarify billing issues and review reports.
- Draft reports for supervisor review.
- Maintain and create orderly files and record-keeping systems.
- Monitor and track documentation to ensure timelines are met.
- Effectively identify and communicate critical issues to the Early Childhood Utah program manager and team.
- Support the Early Childhood Utah Program.
Schedule
Up to 20 hours per week. Of these, 12 hours per week must be in office on Monday and Tuesday. Any remaining hours, remote Wednesday through Friday.
Qualifications
Minimum or "day-one" qualifications:
- Basic accounting skills
- Strong written and verbal skills without the use of AI
- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills with ability to exhibit flexibility, use diplomacy, and be a team player
- An ability to speak clearly, concisely, and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
- An ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Google Suite
- Excellent organization skills
- An ability to use automated software applications
Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:
- Experience in applying 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) for allowability of grant expenses
- Experience in monitoring of federal grants
- Experience in data tracking and validation
