Job Summary
Perform payroll accounting and financial service functions for grants and other sponsored program funds, as well as submit grant proposals to federal and non-federal sponsors. The position provides fiscal service and support to all Department of Medicine investigators for the submission and financial management of grants.
Responsibilities
- Complete payroll accounting adjustments to ensure accurate payroll expenditure according to run rate
- Submission of grant proposals to federal and non-federal sponsors
- Budget revisions/projections for grants corresponding with run rate
- Reviewing/monitoring of individual grants and transactions for compliance
- Financial grant reporting to granting authorities
- Maintain accurate effort reporting/certification
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Coincides with internal and external customers to answer questions, convey information, and resolve accounting issues

- Compiles reports, supporting documentation, and analysis as needed to assist management
Requirements
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field plus two (2) years of experience.
- Certifications, Licenses or Registration: None required.

- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
