About the role

The Grain Operations Worker supports daily grain operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, and loading of corn and wheat at a large agricultural facility. This hands-on role involves unloading trucks, operating rail and locomotive equipment, running PLC systems for rail shed operations, and assisting with extended unloading and loading during harvest seasons. Employees work across multiple site areas and maintain facility cleanliness, including bins, pits, and equipment, to ensure safe and efficient operations. A strong safety mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform at least six tasks in operations, contributing to customer service, grain conditioning, and facility upkeep.
• Operate various types of mobile equipment.
• Unload trucks and manage rail and locomotive equipment.
• Run PLC systems for rail shed operations.
• Support extended unloading and loading activities during harvest seasons.
• Maintain facility housekeeping, including cleaning bins, pits, and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe grain movement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years’ relevant experience.
• Developed skills through formal training or considerable work experience.
• Ability to work within established procedures with moderate supervision.
