Grain Facility Asst Manager-MFM-5855-TRP-1

About the role

Oversee day-to-day operations at an individual Grain Facility, including safety, environmental compliance, employee retention, meeting operational goals, maintaining grain quality standards, loading grain for sales, customer service, and communication with support departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support for daily grain facility operations.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance (e.g., Lock Out, Tag Out, forklift certifications).
• Assist the Grain Facility Manager in executing projects.
• Maintain grain quality standards during receiving and storage.
• Manage people to increase retention, providing tools and support for success.

Requirements

• College degree preferred; high school diploma minimum.
• 1–3 years of experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, customer service, and process comprehension skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and teach new concepts.
• Mechanical aptitude and financial understanding.
• Strong math, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant computer programs.
• Ability to climb up to 150 feet.

Schedule

Typical schedule: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Peak harvest season requires 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts, 6–7 days per week, depending on harvest needs.
