Grain Elevator Superintendent

The DeLong Co. is looking for an experienced Grain Elevator Superintendent to take the helm at one of our grain facilities — someone who can lead a team, keep equipment running, manage grain flow, and drive a culture of safety and efficiency. Schedule
This is a full-time salaried position. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility outside of peak hours. During harvest season (September through November), hours extend to 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Harvest season overall (September through January) typically runs 65–75 hours per week including some weekends — this is the heartbeat of our operation and when your leadership matters most.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all grain handling equipment, ensuring it's properly maintained, safe, and operationally ready — including rolling stock
- Lead, supervise, and develop your elevator team — building a crew that performs at a high level year-round
- Manage all inbound and outbound grain handling, scheduling daily operations from start to finish
- Train employees to meet state and OSHA safety requirements, including annual fumigation safety training
- Maintain a rigorous housekeeping and safety standard across the entire facility
- Onboard and safety-train all contractors who come on site
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
- Audit invoices and manage credit card spending with an eye toward profitability
- Ensure your team has every tool they need to do the job safely and effectively
