Grain Elevator Operator - 2nd Shift

About the role

This hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Location & schedule

• Location: St Joseph, MO
• Schedule: 2nd shift, 2:45pm-11:15pm, Monday-Friday with ample overtime, including weekends
• Compensation: $23/hr and up
• Equipment used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs
• Material handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

Physical requirements

• This job can be physically strenuous
• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
• You will be required to wear PPE
