Grain Elevator Operator - 2nd shift

The Basics

Location: Wichita, KS
Compensation: $23.00/hr and up
Days/Hours: 2:30pm-10:30pm, Mon-Fri with overtime as needed, including weekends.
Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs
Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What You’ll Be Doing

The duties of this hands-on job will include:
Grain receiving, storage, handling, blending, and loading of grain;
Monitoring stored grain condition;
Maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members.

Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements

• Able to travel to Great Bend KS, Scott City KS, Healy KS, Cherryvale KS and Towner CO to assist with train activities, housekeeping and other projects, as needed
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Physical Requirements

• This job can be physically strenuous
• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• You will be required to wear PPE
