Core Responsibilities
- Bag corn, wheat, and soybeans at harvest in a timely, cost efficient manner.
- Reclaim corn, wheat, and soybeans when procurement and mill need bushels.
- Quality control of bagged bushels.
- Accountable for grain and soybean shrinkage related to bagging/reclaimed grain and soybeans.
- Operate bagging/reclaiming equipment in a safe productive manner.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on bagging/reclaiming equipment.
- Interact and communicate with farmer and drivers selling and delivering grain.
- Responsible for being in compliance with all environmental laws and procedures to which Smithfield Foods subscribes.
- Comply with all EMS, IPS, and Animal Well Being Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Agriculture/Mechanical experience preferred.
- Able to operate tractor, auger, and conveyor.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $17.75
