Graduate Scientist
Who are we looking for?
At GHD we are looking for a new Graduate Scientist to join our Data Analytics & Insights team at any of our US offices. This role will assist in the development and implementation of client-focused digital tools to support various environmental projects, including remediation efforts, site investigations, and data analysis.
What You Will Bring To The Team
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in environmental consulting or similar field.
- Skills: Understanding of remediation-related software, data management, and data analysis techniques; Familiarity with programming languages like Python, R, or JavaScript; Excellent Microsoft Excel or SQL capabilities.
- Nice to Have: Field work experience (sampling, drilling, site assessment, etc.); Survey123 development experience; Experience with ArcGIS Pro, Desktop, QGIS, or ArcGIS Online; 3D conceptual site model development experience (EVS, Leapfrog).

What You Will Do
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design, develop, and test digital tools and workflows.
- Analyze environmental data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform project decisions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for innovative digital solutions.
- Document project progress and prepare reports on digital tool performance and findings.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in geospatial, analytical, and remediation technology and software.
- Manage project budgets, cost estimations, and billing processes.
- Participate in field work activities (data collection, oversight) up to 25% of time.
