Location: Rio Grande Valley, Texas – College of Sciences, Marine Ecosystems Institute, Division of Research.
Scope of Job
Research Assistants will be assigned to assist a faculty member with data collection, analysis, publication of data, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Assist faculty with data collection and analysis.
- Contribute to publication of research findings.
- Function as lab assistant, grader, or support creative activities as needed.
- Support instructional efforts of department faculty.
- Perform other duties related to the student's field of study and project assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Admitted to a graduate degree program.
- In good academic standing.
- Registered full-time for the semester (minimum nine credit hours in fall/spring, or three in summer, or as required to complete degree requirements).
Preferred Qualifications
- Full-time graduate student, preferably in good academic standing.
- Enrolled in the School of Earth, Environment & Marine Science.
Schedule
Graduate students will work 20 hours per week with flexible distribution.
