About the role
The Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) will work as a team member of the Center for Teaching Excellence and work closely with the center director and staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data for program evaluation
- Conduct interviews with faculty and students
- Run statistical analyses
- Organize data into Excel and SPSS
- Collect data through interviews and/or surveys
- Assist with grant applications and research projects
- Attend team meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned and within job scope
Requirements
- Must be admitted to a graduate degree program
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must be registered full-time for the respective semester:
- Nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester
- Nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester
- Three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session, or
- Registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Research experience preferred
