About the role

The Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) will work as a team member of the Center for Teaching Excellence and work closely with the center director and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting and analyzing data for program evaluation
  • Conduct interviews with faculty and students
  • Run statistical analyses
  • Organize data into Excel and SPSS
  • Collect data through interviews and/or surveys
  • Assist with grant applications and research projects
  • Attend team meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned and within job scope

Requirements

  • Must be admitted to a graduate degree program
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Must be registered full-time for the respective semester:
    • Nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester
    • Nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester
    • Three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session, or
    • Registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups of people
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Research experience preferred
