Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Graduate Programs for the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS), and working closely with graduate program personnel, the Graduate Recruitment Specialist will manage qualified leads for the CICS graduate programs.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains and analyzes data from the CRM System to track qualified leads from prospect to applicant to matriculated student.
  • Qualifies leads and recommends effective communication strategies and marketing resource allocations.
  • Addresses general inquiries from prospective students via one-on-one correspondence and advises them on program options and admissions.
  • Collaborates with the CICS Marcom team to develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines for recruitment campaigns.
  • Contributes to the creation of clear, compelling, and goal-aligned recruitment marketing materials.
  • Participates in decision-making processes related to the CRM System and collaborates with Salesforce personnel to improve prospective student services and communications.
  • Attends regional and national recruiting events as needed.

Other Functions

  • Performs related duties as assigned or required to meet department, executive area/division, and university goals and objectives.
  • Engages with students and contributes to their success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least three (3) years of professional experience working in academic programs, advising, recruitment, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and create and maintain harmonious relationships with a diverse population of staff, faculty, students, and off-campus constituents.
  • Ability and willingness to work empathetically with a diverse student population and contribute to their success.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent initiative, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • The ability to adapt and work effectively as the College and graduate programs team grows.
  • Strong computer skills including intermediate expertise with email, calendar systems, word processing software, spreadsheets, databases, and virtual meeting platforms.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion. Work Schedule and Work Arrangement: Monday - Friday within standard working hours. This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where an employee's work is regularly performed at a location other than the campus workspace for a portion of the week.
