Description
- Troubleshoots and maintains graduate student records detailing student progress through degree requirements.
- Follows up with students and faculty advisors to ensure completion of required milestones.
- Drafts PhD progress letters and PhD and Masters academic standing letters.
- Maintains records related to student funding sources.
- Identifies and addresses potential gaps in or changes in funding.
- Reviews student enrollment each term.
- Responds to student inquiries regarding program requirements and degree progress.
- Facilitates termly process of graduate student notices of assignment.
- Maintains awareness of student union rules and regulations.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for MS and PhD students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2-3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years of increasingly responsible higher education experience, with a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience and skill using Google and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel/Sheets.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to respond appropriately to pressure, deadlines, and changes in priorities and schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Excellent judgment in working with highly confidential information.
- Able to proactively identify and pursue relevant learning and professional development opportunities, and apply new knowledge and skills to enhance results.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an Academic Advising or Registrar’s Office.
- Experience and skill using Ellucian Banner or other student information systems.
- Experience working with graduate students.
