About the role

This is a 12-month Graduate Nurse Program starting 28 September 2026. The position is a permanent part-time contract with 64 hours per fortnight. The program includes two six-month rotations for all graduates.

Join our General Nursing program and work with a friendly and supportive team while you develop your career as a professional registered nurse. Gain valuable experience working in areas such as General Medical or Surgical wards, Emergency and Trauma Centre, Aged Care & Rehabilitation, Burns & Plastics, Cardiac & Thoracic, Oncology, and Operating Suites.

In addition to clinical support, several structured learning and developmental opportunities are provided throughout your graduate year. We offer a range of nursing specialties and encourage and support our graduates at all campuses to actively further their professional development. After successfully completing the Graduate Nurse Program, Bayside Health is offering ongoing permanent positions.

Requirements

  • Open to graduates who were eligible for the PMCV 2025 graduate match and have thus far been unsuccessful in matching with a health service.
  • Must hold registered nurse AHPRA registration and be able to commence Monday 28 September 2026.
  • Graduate nurses and/or midwives who have already been allocated a position with a health service are ineligible to apply.
  • Must provide a personal email address (university email addresses are not accepted).
  • Must upload the following mandatory information:
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • AHPRA registration number
    • Two clinical appraisals
    • Academic Transcript with your WAM and GPA score, including your university legend for this tool
