Graduate Nurse - Med/Surg Unit

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within established nursing standards. The role requires obtaining licensure within 90 days of graduation from an accredited nursing program to maintain employment. The nurse will promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Responsibilities also include evaluating patient responses, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and participating in professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational requirements: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• No prior experience required; supervision experience not necessary
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Key Duties

• Assess and evaluate patient needs physically, psychosocially, and emotionally
• Develop and modify care plans based on patient responses
