About the role

The Allegheny General 12A Telemetry Unit is a 24-bed facility with single occupancy rooms, providing care to high acuity post-surgical patients including those with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and transplant conditions. The unit also supports and treats patients with Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs). It holds the Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification (C4).

Responsibilities

• Provides care based on the nursing process.
• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Directs and manages patient care activities.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams for the plan of care.
• Assesses learning needs and educates patients and families.

Requirements

• Minimum Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) or license eligible.
• CPR certification.
