Graduate Medical Education Manager - Radiation Oncology

About the role

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Manager 1 within the Department of Radiation Oncology, oversees the daily operations, accreditation activities, and administrative functions of residency, fellowship, graduate, and medical student training programs to ensure high-quality educational experiences and full compliance with accrediting and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supports program leadership in maintaining educational standards, compliance, and program accreditation;
  • Maintains program evaluations, reviews, and site visits;
  • Plans, oversees, and coordinates recruitment, onboarding and orientation;
  • Tracks trainee progress, evaluation, and graduation requirements;
  • Develops and manages annual program budget;
  • Maintains reporting and budget processes;
  • Provides training and workflow oversight;
  • Administers policies and procedures within the program;
  • Hires, trains, coaches, and supervises GME administrative staff and University Graduate Program staff;
  • Supports staff within the International Training Center for Radiation Oncology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
  • 3 years of relevant experience required;
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

Working with guidance from departmental and GME leadership, the GME Manager plans and monitors short-term and long-term goals, ensures operational efficiency, and contributes to program performance while collaborating with peers and faculty to resolve routine matters and support the mission and strategic direction of the health sciences enterprise.
