Your key duties
- Environmental Impact Assessment work to meet planning requirements considering light spill analysis and overshadowing
- Sunlight & daylight massing analysis for architects and developers
- Daylight design including specification of control devices such as louvres and shading devices
- Lighting strategies & master-planning for public realm and cities
- Lighting concept designs
- Concept visualization & 3D light modelling
- Scheme outlines with cost feasibility
- Detailed lighting design including architectural integration detailing
- Lighting control specification
- Bespoke luminaire design
- Site monitoring, including programming of control systems and focusing of luminaires
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Lighting, or Architectural Engineering
- Coursework and/or experience in architecture (studio and/or history), lighting, or building systems design
- Portfolio: Please include a link to your portfolio or attach it directly to your resume when applying
- Experience using AGI, Revit, Enscape, and Photoshop beneficial
- Experience in 3ds Max, ElumTools, Grasshopper or Rhino a bonus
- Interest in the lighting design industry with an emphasis on architectural lighting design or daylighting analysis
- Lighting related internship helpful
- Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner
- Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
What we offer
- Salary range of $77,000 to $80,000. This will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience
