The Ops Digital Decision Science (ODDS) team at Delta Air Lines is seeking a graduate-level intern Data Scientist to develop machine learning models that enhance airline performance and decision-making. As part of this team, you will work on complex business problems, collect and analyze data, and present insights to business owners.

• Develop advanced analytics solutions for complex business problems
• Collect data via SQL queries and perform exploratory data analysis
• Present analysis to business owners using concise but compelling narrative and visuals
• Learn new techniques within cloud-based platforms

What You Need To Succeed

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Computer Science
• Experience working with relational databases (SQL)
• Understanding of machine learning techniques (Python, SciKit Learn, or other machine learning platforms)
• Good written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to commit to the duration of the internship timeline: Aug 17, 2026 – Dec 11, 2026
• Working as an intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation
• This position is intended to provide you with educational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce
• Must be able to work onsite in the Atlanta, GA office
