Responsibilities

  • Provide project engineering and design of new water treatment facilities, groundwater wells, water storage facilities, pumping stations, and water distribution systems
  • Conduct business development and develop client relationships in drinking water markets
  • Review existing water treatment facilities, prepare reports for proposed equipment/systems upgrades and replacements, and present your findings to clients and regulatory agencies
  • Help develop specifications and drawings such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for senior drafting technicians
  • Assess impact of changing EPA and MDH regulations for specific client needs
  • Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification of designs, proposal presentations, and other business development activities
  • Design and renovate lift stations, review existing wastewater treatment facilities, help prepare sewer system plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a condition of employment and must be achieved at the time of hire or within six (6) months
  • 1 year of experience in project management and planning, designing, and construction of water treatment facilities, groundwater wells, water storage facilities, pumping stations, and water distribution systems
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethie
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week

Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment; occasional travel or field visits may be required.
