Graduate Engineer – Transportation

About the role

Neel-Schaffer is seeking applications for the position of Graduate Engineer - Transportation. This position is based in the Atlanta (GA) office and is part of a progressive engineering team in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Setting roadway horizontal and vertical geometry
• Preparing cross-sections
• Earthwork calculations
• Preparing quantities
• Setting right-of-way
• Understanding of roadway drainage design
• Developing maintenance of traffic/traffic control plans
• Familiarity with the Georgia DOT Plan Development Process

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Passed the Fundamental of Engineering (FE) exam
• 2 years of transportation design experience
• Proficiency with Microstation and Geopack/OpenRoads
• Strong verbal communication and analytical skills
• Familiarity with GDOT standards (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Valid driver’s license

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth. They will assist other teams as project and client demands dictate and will be a part of the engineering team assisting teams in other locations within the company footprint as needed.
