About the role

The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction
  • Aid in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water & Wastewater projects
  • Perform drafting CAD work
  • Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
  • Aid in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree (preferably in Civil or Environmental Engineering)
  • 1 - 4 years of experience in Water & Wastewater Utility projects and Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Design
  • Have a current Texas EIT license or the ability to obtain within 2 years of employment
  • Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or plan on obtaining within six months of start date
  • Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is preferred
  • Desired experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater
  • Great communication skills
  • Solid relationship and team building skills
  • Self-motivated and strong organization skills

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible for a Texas EIT license
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
