Graduate Engineer I, Land Development
About the role
Halff has an opening for a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Tavares, FL office for our Land Development team. This position is for a General Civil Engineer interested in Land Development design. The role offers an excellent career development opportunity with potential for business and personal growth, as well as ownership in the firm. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and design of Land Development projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Perform schematic design work, calculations, and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Driving Record
- The ability to obtain an EIT Certificate within one (1) year of start date
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D
- 0 to 3 years of experience in Land Development projects (New graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Knowledge of local codes and design criteria
