About the role
A creative, motivated, and dynamic Graduate Communications Internship designed for recent graduates passionate about communications, agriculture, and rural development. You will assist in implementing communication strategies and enhancing the visibility of agro-centric projects through various media channels.
Responsibilities
- Draft and edit content for various communication platforms (social media, blogs, newsletters, and reports) to raise awareness of agro-related initiatives.
- Help manage and maintain social media accounts, engaging with followers, sharing relevant content, and tracking campaign performance.
- Help organise and promote agro-related events such as webinars, training sessions, and workshops. Ensure proper communication before, during, and after the events.
- Research agro-industry trends, best practices, and competitor communication efforts to enhance the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Support in executing communication campaigns that showcase the impact of AgroCentric Projects on rural communities, sustainability, and agricultural innovation.
Qualifications
- Recent Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Prior experience (internships or voluntary work) in communications, PR, or media is an advantage.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and content management systems (CMS).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct research, analyse data, and generate insights for strategic communications.
- A flair for creative content creation, especially in agriculture, rural development, and sustainability.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while being proactive and independent when needed.
- A keen interest in agriculture, sustainability, and rural development initiatives.
