GRADUATE CLINICAL COORDINATOR – SCHOOL OF NURSING
Responsibilities
- Captures and maintains clinical and practicum site placements.
- Conducts ongoing assessments and evaluations of procedures and processes.
- Assists Dean and Associate Dean in meeting accreditation requirements.
- Maintains clinical and practicum records according to state and federal guidelines.
- Led policy development and revision efforts for graduate clinical/practicum placement.
- Maintains community learning platforms for students.
- Facilitates the orientation process for clinical/practicum/residency students.
- Maintains awareness of graduate program curricula and requirements.
- Participates in SoN committees.
- Represents SoN at meetings, conferences, and seminars.
- Enhances visibility of SoN program on and off campus.
- Collaborates with faculty to track student retention and progress.
- Affords marketing and recruitment support for students/faculty/preceptors.
- Facilitates faculty and staff development efforts.
- Participates in Advisory Board Meetings.
- Develops and implements strategies for building and maintaining clinical site placements and preceptor supervision.
- Develops knowledge of Wisconsin and other states' healthcare systems.
- Serves as a liaison between students, faculty, and clinical/practicum/residency site/preceptor.
- Assesses potential clinical/practicum/residency sites and monitors current sites.
- Coordinates with students, faculty, and preceptors in evaluating students engaged in clinical/practicum.
- Coordinates ongoing evaluation of clinical/practicum/residency sites.
Job Qualifications
- Necessary Education or Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Nursing, Education, or related field.
- Experience in working with faculty development and administrative personnel.
- Possess public and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through collaborative decision-making and effective work with internal and external constituents.
- Working knowledge/familiarity with HIPPA regulations.
- Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Education or related field (or in progress).
- Successful record of leadership and accomplishment in partnership development, recruitment, negotiation, strategic planning, and administration of academic programs.
- Experience integrating communication, technology, and information resources into teaching and operations.
- Demonstrated success in attracting and retaining novice faculty, faculty of color, and other under-represented groups.
- Knowledge of online learning platforms.
