The Impact You’ll Have
Alliant Engineering has a great opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our beautiful Jacksonville, Florida office!
Responsibilities
- Aid in the design and development of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects
- Create construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Perform site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control calculations
- Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and other team members to support project goals and timelines
- Conduct research and analysis of data such as zoning ordinances, site surveys, and environmental reports
- Prepare permit applications and coordinate with local and state agencies
- Support project documentation, coordination, and communication with clients and consultants
- Participate in field visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, if desired
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 0-4 years of experience in land development design
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, organization, and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills
Qualifications
- Graduate of a four-year accredited college or university
- Pass the FE exam
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
