The Impact You’ll Have
Alliant Engineering has a great opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our beautiful Jacksonville, Florida office!

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the design and development of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects
  • Create construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control calculations
  • Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and other team members to support project goals and timelines
  • Conduct research and analysis of data such as zoning ordinances, site surveys, and environmental reports
  • Prepare permit applications and coordinate with local and state agencies
  • Support project documentation, coordination, and communication with clients and consultants
  • Participate in field visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, if desired

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0-4 years of experience in land development design
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a four-year accredited college or university
  • Pass the FE exam

Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
