About the role

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree, and knowledge in public works and/or land development design, including roadway, utility, and drainage design.

Responsibilities

  • Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Aid in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for public works and land development projects
  • Aid in the drafting of CAD work
  • Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
  • Aid in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in public works and/or land development design, including roadway, utility, and drainage design
  • Actively obtaining Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
  • Experience with Civil 3D is a plus
