Responsibilities
- Work with the professional staff team to support daily building operations
- Participate in on-call duty rotation
- Engage in educational programming
- Contribute to community development
- Support staff training
- Select staff members
- Conduct departmental assessments
- Participate in professional staff team and pursue the mission and vision of the Residence Life (RL) department
- Assist professional staff with the oversight of the residential communities, managing conflict, empowering students to self-advocate, and building relationships to facilitate referrals to appropriate campus resources
- Co-manage a residential area with an Area Coordinator, serving as the primary supervisor for a designated community and supporting the overall operation of the larger residential area
- Aid in planning and implementing RA Training and Selection, as well as weekly RA Staff meetings
- Lead the management of one special project throughout the academic year, such as Off-Campus Housing or Social Media & Marketing
- Document policy violations, student concerns, mediations, etc., through the conduct management system
- Adjudicate minor level cases and assist the Dean of Students staff to educate the MCPHS University community on policy infractions and responsibility
- Attend weekly Conduct and On Call meetings during business hours
- Attend weekly RL staff meetings held during business hours
- Encourage participation in professional development workshops provided by the Division of Student Affairs
- Participate in campus-wide and COF wide committees to help educate and train students in collaboration with campus partners
- Be available, visible, and approachable to students within the college community and attend community functions
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Residence Life and/or Area Coordinator
Qualifications
This is a live-In position, part-time, 20 hours/week. Furnished, on-campus housing and meal plan will be provided.
