About the role
The Graduate Assistant (GA) for Student Organization Financial Development & Entrepreneurship supports the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership by developing educational initiatives that strengthen student organizations’ financial sustainability, entrepreneurial thinking, fundraising capacity, and responsible business practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop programs and educational resources that teach student organizations how to create sustainable funding models beyond traditional university allocations.
- Lead the planning and implementation of an online marketplace that allows registered student organizations to sell approved merchandise and products.
- Develop educational programming that strengthens financial management skills among organization officers.
- Develop educational materials that help student leaders understand legal and financial responsibilities associated with fundraising and business activities.
Requirements
- Must be an active CCU student.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Acceptance into or current enrollment in 6-9 credit hours in a graduate program at Coastal Carolina University.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
- Interest in entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, finance, or marketing.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and campus partners.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, budgeting, or small business operations.
