Role Summary
The Graduate Assistant for the Women's Ice Hockey program works under the direction of the head coach and assists with the administration of a successful Division III athletic program. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, instructing, advising, counseling, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the head coach for the Women's ice hockey program.
- Assist with the administration of a successful Division III athletic program, including but not limited to: coaching, recruiting, instructing, advising, film breakdown, counseling, and other duties.
- Serve as a positive role model for all student-athletes and represent Albertus Magnus College in a professional, responsible, and positive manner.
- Follow all NCAA, UCHC, and Athletics Department guidelines.
- Foster a culture of compliance with NCAA rules and regulations, and assist with the promotion of an environment of institutional control over intercollegiate athletics at Albertus Magnus College.
- Administer administrative duties as assigned by the head coach.
Qualifications
- Enrollment: Must be currently accepted in a Master program at Albertus Magnus College in one of the following areas: Accounting (only two spots available), Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Management and Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Administration (only two spots available).
- Primary Responsibilities: Work under the direction of the head coach for the Women's ice hockey program. Assist with the administration of a successful Division III athletic program, including but not limited to: coaching, recruiting, instructing, advising, film breakdown, counseling, and other duties. Serve as a positive role model for all student-athletes and represent Albertus Magnus College in a professional, responsible, and positive manner. - Eligibility & Requirements: Previous experience at the collegiate, club, and/or scholastic levels as a student-athlete and/or coach. Knowledge of collegiate rules and a demonstrated compliance with said rules. Relevant work experience may be substituted to meet qualifications for the position.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in [Microsoft Office/Google Workspace].
