Assistant Women's Ice Hockey Coach

Position Overview

The assistant women’s hockey coach is responsible for assisting the head women’s hockey coach in all aspects of running a NCAA Division I women’s hockey program.

Position Responsibilities

• Have the ability and willingness to represent Merrimack College and Merrimack Hockey with the utmost level of integrity and honesty.
• Recruiting – On and Off Campus development of our recruiting profile. Preferably at the Division One Collegiate or applicable level.
• Experience with the different recruiting and editing platforms that are used by the program.
• Weekly updates to the staff on the players currently being recruited.
• Able to work well with others, troubleshoot and seek answers.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• 1-2 years of previous coaching experience
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and intercollegiate athletics
• Knowledge of video editing and production
• Commitment to supporting the academic success and overall well-being of student-athletes
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and complete tasks by established deadlines
• Colege hockey playing experience is preferred
