Graduate Assistant Coach, Cross Country

About the Role
Mercer University is seeking a Graduate Assistant Coach to join its Cross Country and Track & Field program (Distance). This position offers a unique opportunity for a recent collegiate athlete to continue their involvement in the sport while pursuing a graduate degree, gaining hands-on coaching experience, and developing leadership skills within a competitive team environment.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Acceptance into Mercer University’s graduate program
- Collegiate athletic experience (ideal candidate will have competed at the collegiate level)
- Experience with Cross Country/Distance events and a desire to coach (preferred)
- Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Capacity to model mature, responsible leadership
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and travel with the team to competitions
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass university driver certification
