About the role
The Office of Global Engagement (OGE) at the University of Georgia is dedicated to expanding the global reach of our institution's instructional, research, and service missions.
Responsibilities
- Support program applicants with the application process and selected participants with the pre-departure process.
- Aid in program promotion in person and on social media, making presentations to classrooms and representing programs at fairs and other recruiting opportunities.
- Assist with organizing post-program activities.
- Aid in the study away scholarship process.
- Assist with ad hoc projects related to the programs or scholarships.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Demonstrable organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- International experience is highly desired, but not required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies relevant to the position.
Skills
- Ability to drive state car or use public transportation as needed.
- Occasional travel to various classrooms and other sites on campus.
- Speaking in front of a group.
Benefits
While driving is preferred, if the candidate has no driver’s license, public transportation may be used on campus as needed. Occasional travel to various classrooms and other sites on campus will be needed.
